Tules-liiga, The Finnish League
Against Musculoskeletal Disorders, was established in 1993 as a
co-operative body of organi-
sations dealing with
musculoskeletal diseases. Co-operation between
people suffering from the disorders and professio-
nals of health care has been emphasised in the operation of the League from the
outset.
The goal of the League is to facilitate the
prevention
and care of musculoskeletal
disorders and affect national policies, public opinion, increase
of expertise and research.
Among other things the League
has organised nine national training seminars, the TULES days,
for health care profes-
sionals, and highlighted research
of musculoskeletal disorders by organising three
research competitions to reward scientifically meritorious
research.
